I started writing a short introduction in
Korean when I realized that I haven't writen anything in Korean for a while. It
was more difficult than I had thought. >-<
Anyway, hi everyone!
I'm a university student from Finland I will be spending next year in Korea studying at a local university. My home university is Helsinki University and I will be attending Korea University ( 고려대학교 ).
I'm a Chemistry major but in Korea I will be taking classes in Korean and my current minor Computer Science.
In Korea the academic year starts in the spring, in March and the fall semester is the 2nd semester of the year. In Finland the 1st semester is in the fall and the 2nd in the spring. So I will be going to Korea in the middle of the year.
My study plan so far is to take more Korean classes in the fall and more CS classes in the spring. I almost wish I could have gone to Korea in the spring and stayed there for their academic year. That way I could have taken courses in the right order.. But I'm complaining too early, I need to look into the course list again now that I actually know something about my field of study. It was more guesswork in the fall when I was making the first study plan.
Don't get me wrong, I did go to see multiple study counsellors. They looked at the course lists and said that I could take almost any of them and it would be okay. That the class descriptions didn't really say much (but then again it's only Bachelor's level). That they couldn't really say what I should take. It's all up to me.

I'll probably be a lot older that other students in my classes in Korea. Oh well.
